Ecuador is located on the northwestern coast of South America, between Peru to the south and the east, and Colombia to the north. Ecuador also owns the Galapagos Islands, located approximately 1000 kilometers off the coast. Ecuador covers 256, 370 square kilometers of land and is the smallest country in South America after Uruguay and the Guianas.

Quito is the colonial capital of Ecuador and home to the Inlingua Spanish program. The city´s location in the central highlands of the Andes and its constantly mild climate makes Quito a great place to live and study.
